Meet Dr. Montemurno

I have the privilege of working with Drs. Brosnan and Clark and our staff in the service of our patients. Being a parent myself, I am honored and inspired that parents entrust their children to our care. We provide state-of-the-art care with the latest technology, so that we can attain as ideal a treatment as possible for our patients. We treat all children as if they were our own, and the greatest compliment I have received is treating the children of our adult patients or of our former adolescent patients! It is a continuous joy having such a positive impact on our patients’ lives; it is the defining mission of our practice.

My interest in dentistry, and orthodontics in particular, stemmed from my father, who was a dental laboratory technician and an inspiration to me professionally. He instilled in me a desire to help people and the discipline to provide the highest quality of care. It is a particular honor and privilege to be of service to my patients and to deliver state-of-the-art orthodontic treatment, in order to give them a beautiful smile and proper oral function.

Education and continuing education

I’ve had the privilege of being involved in orthodontic practice for 37 years, and have taught in the orthodontic department at New Jersey Dental School for the last seven years. Since I graduated from dental school, there have been many innovations in orthodontic treatment and technology. Every year, I attend professional meetings in orthodontics in order to keep up with the newest trends in the profession, especially with new research in patient treatment that I can bring directly to the practice to improve our patients’ experience.

Outside the office

Originally from Parsippany, NJ, I have lived in Clifton for the past 28 years. My wife Cheryl is a medical doctor in the area, and we have two children, Melissa and Matthew. I spend much of my free time in the great outdoors, doing anything from gardening to hiking and skiing. I am also interested in photography and amateur astronomy.

I have served on the board of the Boys and Girls Club of Clifton for more than 25 years, having started a tutoring program for academically at-risk children, which helps them with reading, math, and science. It continues to be a joy to help kids in Clifton, providing a safe place for them to thrive and excel.
